Relais Villa Savarese is 300 meters from several beaches; one of these is the Marinella beach, one of the most beautiful in Sorrento, where you can spend wonderful days between sea and sun. To live the beautiful sea of Sorrento and the Sorrentine Peninsula, one kilometer from the Relais, there is the Marina Piccola,the hydrofoils' start point for Capri, Ischia and Naples and the boat tours for Punta Campanella, a marvelous marine nature reserve. In the summer, the Metrò del Mare is a very convenient service that in 40 minutes of sailing comes to Naples, Positano and Amalfi.

How to reach us:

Sorrento's nearest international airport is the Napoli Capodichino Airport, about 50 km away. From the airport, you can take the Curreri bus which runs between the terminal and Sorrento, or we would be happy to arrange a private transfer by car service. Sorrento is about an hour drive from the airport.

The Circumvesuviana train line connects the Sorrento Peninsula to the city of Naples (Piazza Garibaldi - Napoli Centrale station).
From the Naples Central Station, take the Circumvesuviana - Sorrento train which departs from the lower level of the station. The journey takes about an hour and ten minutes. To view the updated schedule, please check here: www.eavsrl.it.

For those arriving from the north, including Naples train station or airport, take highway A3 Naples- Salerno- Reggio Calabria and exit at Castellammare di Stabia. Follow the signage for the Penisola Sorrentina. Once you arrive in Sorrento, follow the signage for the main square, Piazza Tasso.
For those arriving from the south, take the Salerno-Reggio Calabria highway towards Salerno, then follow the directions to highway A3 Napoli-Salerno towards Napoli, exiting at Castellammare di Stabia. Follow the signage for the Penisola Sorrentina. Once you arrive in Sorrento, follow the signage for the main square, Piazza Tasso.

From the Molo Beverello pier at the port of Naples, there is a high speed ferry which arrives at the port of Sorrento. From there, you can reach Piazza Tasso with a public bus departing every 20 minutes.
The Sorrento port is connected to the ports of Capri, Ischia, Procida, Naples, and several towns on the Amalfi Coast.

The historical center of Sorrento is 10 minutes from Relais Villa Savarese.

Of very ancient origins and birthplace of Torquato Tasso, it has maintained it charm of centuries and history and art unaltered, which have left very interesting remains.

The Roman decumanus can still be recognized which crossed the small roads, where it is possible to visit the Basilica of Sant’Antonino, with the many picturesque votive offerings by sailors and fishermen who survived shipwrecks, the Museo Bottega della Tarsia Lignea, which testifies to the popular art of inlaid wood, the Romanesque Cathedral, Sedile Dominova, a refined 15th century building, Museo Correale di Terranova which contains the rooms of Villa Correale, surrounded by a wonderful citrus grove and spectacular terrace over the sea, it contains a very interesting collection of paintings and everyday objects from Campania’s traditions from the 16th to 19th centuries.

Via San Cesareo is the main shopping street, lines with shops and boutiques where it is possible to choose from colorful ceramics and items in inlaid wood, as well as crafted coral, refined lacework and embroidery, and among the gourmet items: limoncello, delizie al limone (Sorrento’s dessert), Provolone del Monaco, Braided mozzarella and extra virgin olive oil.

Sorrento’s summer is a wonderful season of culture and high society with literary encounters, very high level classical music and jazz concerts held in the lovely setting of the Chiostro di San Francesco.
