Villa Crawford is still one of the prettiest in Sant'Agnello and Sorrento, sitting on a cliff above the sea, surrounded by a park embellished by the sculptures of Thomas Crawford, the writer's father, and today the site of an important religious institute, as desired by the writer's heirs.

Via San Cesareo is the main shopping street, lines with shops and boutiques where it is possible to choose from colorful ceramics and items in inlaid wood, as well as crafted coral, refined lacework and embroidery, and among the gourmet items: limoncello, delizie al limone (Sorrento's dessert), Provolone del Monaco, Braided mozzarella and extra virgin olive oil.
Sorrento's summer is a wonderful season of culture and high society with literary encounters, very high level classical music and jazz concerts held in the lovely setting of the Chiostro di San Francesco.
