The historical center of Sorrento is 10 minutes from Relais Villa Savarese. Of very ancient origins and birthplace of Torquato Tasso, it has maintained it charm of centuries and history and art unaltered, which have left very interesting remains. Via San Cesareo is the main shopping street, lines with shops and boutiques where it is possible to choose from colorful ceramics and items in inlaid wood, as well as crafted coral, refined lacework and embroidery, and among the gourmet items: limoncello, delizie al limone (Sorrento's dessert), Provolone del Monaco, Braided mozzarella and extra virgin olive oil.
Sorrento's summer is a wonderful season of culture and high society with literary encounters, very high level classical music and jazz concerts held in the lovely setting of the Chiostro di San Francesco.

By car
From both the north and south take the freeway A3 Napoli - Salerno, and follow the signs for Penisola Sorrentina until the exit for Castellammare di Stabia. Continue on highway SS 145, going past the towns Vico Equense, Meta and Piano di Sorrento, until reaching Sant'Agnello. Go past Piazza Matteotti until reaching Piazza S. Agnello there turn right on Corso Crawford until no. 59, where Relais Villa Savarese awaits you.
